APPLICATION: I-125 Brachytherapy Seeds can be used for a variety of tumors, including prostatic cancer, pulmonary cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and pancreatic cancer and pancreatic metastasis. It is also used to treat remaining tumor and recurrence that has been treated by radiation.
CHARACTERISTICS: Each particle was 0.8 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm in length, with a radioactivity of 0.6 to 0.8 mCi, radioactive half-life of 60.1 days, and radiation energy of 28 keV. The source is silver wire with labeled Sodium iodide (I-125).The cladding is medical titanium alloy tube sealed by laser. Examined through imaging and amplification system, its appearance is totally sealed without holes and both the ends (welded joints) are smooth.
